Operation USA first began working with SAWED Trust in 2005, based on their initial proposal to provide Tsunami Relief in affected villages around Nagapattinam and Karaikal. Operation USA was happy to fund this project for the duration of six months, and found SAWED to be an effective and reliable partner, able to implement the proposed program as well as provide consistent progress reports. Operation USA has conducted several field visits to monitor these programs, and have been pleased with their progress and the high standards of this groups work. Following the completion of this program, Operation USA has committed to continue working with SAWED Trust on an Educational Support Program in these same villages.

I have truly enjoyed working with SAWED Trust in india. We have had the opportunity to work together on a shool health and hygiene project in the TUMKUR District for HONEYWELL CORPORATION. SAWED devoted their time and energy to this project and made it a success. In addition, OPUSA has funded tsunami projects in Tamilnadu which we visited. The centers and schools were wonderful place for the community. Overall I have been very impressed by this group and I hope to continue working with them in the future.
